The Agios mosaic is composed of hand-cut tightly placed marble pieces. This lends to the beauty and design of these mosaic sheets. Always layout the sheets completely and rotate them if necessary to find the best most acceptable fit between sheets.Because this is a handcrafted mosaic it is normal for there to be irregular sizes of stone where the interlocking sheets connect. This may require the installer to shave (cut) the stone slightly in those areas to achieve a tighter, more seamless fit. This can be done with the use of a wet-saw and blade made for cutting natural stones. Variation in color, shade, finish, hardness, strength and slip resistance is inherent in Natural stone products. White marbles contain naturally occurring deposits of iron which may lead to discoloration of marble and turning it yellow-rust or grey if used in wet areas. This a natural characteristics of the stone and that is why it cannot be considered as a defect in the product. MIR Mosaic is in no way responsible for discoloration of the natural stones.
