Polished Quartzite

Polished quartzite is a metamorphic rock with a smooth, glossy, and reflective surface that’s created by grinding and buffing the stone. The process enhances the stone’s natural color, patterns, and luster, giving it a radiant and luxurious appearance.  It is often used for countertops, floors, and walls in kitchens and bathrooms. It’s less absorbent than honed or leathered quartzite, making it more resistant to water and moisture. It’s also easy to clean, as spills can be wiped away quickly without leaving stains. However, polished quartzite can show scratches, etchings, and wear more clearly than other finishes, so it requires regular upkeep to preserve its appearance.
